On November 2nd, 2015 Sarah MacDonald’s Place(SMP) celebrated its 20th anniversary. An event commemorating this milestone occasion was well attended by more than 50 guests. Among the local dignitaries in attendance were Mayor Dave Ryan, Chief Paul Martin of Durham Regional Police Services, Eleanor McDonald and Alan Robbins of Durham Region Housing, Mrs. Sarah MacDonald, community leaders, the media and residents. This gathering provided an opportunity to renew old acquaintances, make new friends, meet the board and management and to socialize. Everyone had an enjoyable evening.
